Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose

Dansk Sprogskole connects job seekers and employers as part of its language, employment, and integration programs.
The purpose is to help participants gain job experience and improve their Danish language skills under legal, fair, and safe conditions.
We operate under the principles of respect, transparency, and accountability, but we are not a party to any employment relationship between job seeker and employer.


2. For Job Seekers

2.1. Rights

As a job seeker, you have the right to:

  • know your working conditions, salary, and working hours before starting
  • receive a written employment contract under the Danish Employment Certificates Act (Act No. 518 of 2023)
  • work in a safe and respectful environment in accordance with the Danish Working Environment Act (Consolidated Act No. 2062 of 2021)
  • refuse or report unlawful or abusive behavior
  • contact Dansk Sprogskole, your municipality, a trade union, or the police if you feel exploited

2.2. Obligations

As a job seeker, you are expected to:

  • provide accurate information about your qualifications and residence status
  • be punctual and honor agreements made with the employer
  • respect the company’s rules and internal policies
  • inform Dansk Sprogskole if you experience anything that violates these terms

3. For Employers

3.1. Employer Requirements

Employers collaborating with Dansk Sprogskole agree to:

  • offer lawful employment or internship arrangements in accordance with the Danish Working Environment Act and the Aliens Act §§ 9a and 9l
  • provide a written contract or agreement before the start date
  • ensure reasonable working hours (max. 37 hours per week) and at least one weekly day off
  • not withhold passports, ID, or personal belongings
  • comply with Danish laws on equal treatment and non-discrimination, including the Equal Treatment of Men and Women Act §2 and the Anti-Discrimination Act §1
  • prevent and address harassment or sexual harassment in the workplace, in accordance with §15 of the Working Environment Act

3.2. Prohibition of Exploitation

Employers may not offer housing, transport, or other benefits as a condition of employment unless this is voluntarily accepted in writing by the job seeker.
Any form of coercion, pressure, or abuse of dependency is considered a material breach of cooperation and may be reported to the authorities.


4. Dansk Sprogskole’s Role and Responsibility

4.1. Our Role

Dansk Sprogskole:

  • facilitates contact and supports matching between job seekers and companies
  • advises on legal and ethical practices
  • may hold follow-up meetings with both parties to ensure safety and fairness
  • cooperates with job centers and authorities to ensure proper conditions

4.2. Disclaimer

Dansk Sprogskole:

  • is not a party to the employment contract between job seeker and employer
  • assumes no legal responsibility for salaries, contract content, injuries, or disputes
  • cannot be held liable for breaches, losses, or disagreements between the parties
  • reserves the right to terminate cooperation with any party that fails to comply with these terms

This disclaimer applies to the fullest extent permitted under Danish law.


5. Data Protection

Personal data is processed confidentially and in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.
Information is only shared with relevant authorities, partners, or employers as part of matching and follow-up activities.


6. Complaints and Termination

Job seekers or employers wishing to file a complaint may contact Dansk Sprogskole in writing.
In cases of serious or repeated violations of these terms, cooperation may be terminated immediately.
